Difference between the 1.5” and 2.1” display
Both displays does have their right of existence. Especially for small hand held devices where the rule is: “the smaller the better” the 1.5” display is the better choice. If you have more information you need to show at the screen or if you need to read the display from 1 meter (3 feet) distance you better get the 2.1” display. Some general aspects:
Brightness: The 2.1” display is brighter than the 1.5” display but also needs a higher voltage for the lighting (but you do not need to care about this - our PowerBooster will provide the needed voltage).
Readable without lighting: limited possibility with the 2.1” display, not possible with the 1.5” display
Readable in very bright light (e.g. direct sun light): limited possibility with the 2.1” display, not possible with the 1.5” display
Size: The 2.1” display offers an apporx. 80% larger active display area than the 1.55” display (see 1:1 photo below)
Display quality: Our 1.5” TFT is a display with 65.536 colours. Other than the poor quality 1.5” displays from Ebay and other sources (not TFT, just STN) ours offers a much better display quality (immediately visible). The picture quality of the 2.1” display is even slighty better then our 1.5” display (and MUCH MUCH better than the 1.5” displays from most other sources).
Difference size of 1.5” va. 2.1” display - Click on the picture to open a high res picture (1.8 MByte: be patient):

Speed: Both displays can handle the same data amount in the same time frame (clock may be up to 13 Mhz).
Software: The software drivers are completely different between the 1.5” and the 2.1” display. Thus a new software is needed (you might be able to use some parts of your old software).
